How to Download Facebook Videos (Step-by-Step Guide)
Saving a Facebook video for offline viewing takes less than a minute once you know the trick: you never need an app, an account, or a browser extension — just the video's link.
Step 1 — Copy the video link
On any public video, Reel or Watch clip, click the Share button and choose Copy link. On the mobile app the option is in the same share sheet. The link will look like facebook.com/watch/?v=…, facebook.com/reel/… or fb.watch/… — all of them work.
Step 2 — Paste it into the downloader
Head to the homepage, paste the link into the input field and press Download. Within a few seconds you'll see the video's title, thumbnail, duration and every available quality.
Step 3 — Pick a format
Choose HD for the best quality, SD for smaller files, or Convert to MP3 if you only need the audio. The file downloads directly from Facebook's servers, so it's as fast as your connection allows.
Troubleshooting
- "Private video" error — only public videos can be downloaded. Videos restricted to friends or groups are not accessible.
- Link not recognized — make sure you copied the video link, not the page URL of your feed.

Is it legal?
Downloading your own content or content you have permission to save is fine. Re-uploading someone else's work without permission is not. When in doubt, ask the creator — most are happy to share.
